Potomac Gardens

A public private partnership to benefit children and families at Potomac Gardens resulted in a new playground and basketball court. More than 1,000 children reside in the complex. They now play in a safe environment in their own neighborhood. Representatives of the Recreation Wish List Committee galvanized partners such as the Public Housing Authority, private sector partners such as Sports Systems Inc., the Gilford Corporation and Derick Wilson (architect) worked to provide much needed recreational opportunities to the children of Potomac Gardens.
